The Granbury Edit: A Fresh Take on Marketing for Modern Agents
On the afternoon of May 20th, I had the opportunity to speak at The Granbury Edit, a multi-speaker event hosted at Farina's Winery & Café in Granbury, TX. It was a packed room of about 25 real estate agents and sponsors, all there to level up their skills and mindset around contracts, social media, and modern marketing.

The event kicked off with two speakers diving into the latest Texas contract changes, followed by an encouraging and insightful talk on succeeding with social media—at any age. Then it was my turn to take the mic.
My topic? Modern Marketing for the Modern Agent.
I focused on two big ideas:
1. Creative lead generation that breaks the mold
2. Simple tools that make it easier to market yourself
consistently

I shared a few outside-the-box strategies (like Open House Bingo—yes, it's a thing!) and encouraged agents to move away from copy-paste marketing and toward content that actually reflects their personality and business style.
We also explored tools like landing pages, QR codes, and digital ads—and how agents don’t have to figure it out alone. Sometimes, all you need is a little tech support and someone to hold your hand through it. (Hi, that’s me!)
One highlight? Another speaker—who’s also a client—jumped in during my talk to share how one of the Facebook ads I helped her create brought her listing under contract just days after it had sat on the market for over a month. The buyer's agent told her, “I can’t believe I missed this one.” That’s the power of intentional marketing.

More than anything, The Granbury Edit reminded me how much I love connecting with other agents and sharing tools that truly move the needle. Speaking in front of a room full of professionals was a little nerve-racking, but the encouragement from my fellow speakers (and the audience!) made it an experience I’ll absolutely do again—hopefully in San Antonio or another city soon.
